Prominent Subarachnoid Space

  • Etiology: due to immature + inefficient arachnoid villi, causing temporary communicating hydrocephalus
  • Imaging: subarachnoid space relatively larger in infants < 2 years old, subarachnoid vessels cross the space
  • Clinical: often presents with macrocephaly, resolves on its own
