Pediatric Candida Esophagitis

  • Etiology: Opportunistic infection in patients with immunocompromise or severe dysmotility such as achalasia or scleroderma
  • Imaging: Longitudinally oriented linear lesions separated by normal mucosa and small round ulcers on UpperGI
  • DDX: Esophagitis due to cytomegalovirus, herpes, HIV
  • Complications:
  • Treatment:
  • Clinical: Presents with odynophagia
