Dromedary Hump

  • Etiology: normal variant of renal contour consisting of prominent focal bulge on lateral border of left kidney, due to splenic impression onto superolateral left kidney
  • Imaging: DMSA renal scintigraphy can be used to demonstrate normal radiotracer uptake in the suspicious region thus ruling out tumor
  • DDX: renal tumor
