School ager with chest pain after motor vehicle accident

CXR of rib fracture and pleural cap
CXR AP shows a discontinuity at the lateral aspect of the left second rib. There is a pleural cap at the apex of the left hemithorax.

The diagnosis was rib fracture of the second rib. CT of the chest was negative for thoracic aortic injury.
