  • Etiology: result of blood entering the media through a tear in the intima seen in patients with hypertension, connective tissue disorder, trauma
  • Imaging: middle cerebral artery infarct, ipsilateral anterior cerebral artery + posterior cerebral artery usually maintained by ACOM + PCOM
