Pediatric Laryngeal Cyst

  • Etiology: Cyst that occurs in any part of larynx
  • Imaging:
    — Most frequently in a supraglottic location
    — Round, non-enhancing, fluid filled lesion
  • DDX: Laryngocele, branchial cleft cyst, suprahyoid thyroglossal duct cyst
  • Complications: Can cause significant respiratory obstruction
  • Treatment: Aspiration, marsupialization, laser ablation
