Little Leaguer Elbow

  • Etiology: Is medial apophysitis and mechanism is repetitive traction injury with valgus stress,
  • Imaging Radiograph:
    — Initially normal in 85% of cases
    — Mild widening of physis of medial epicondyle with adjacent sclerosis and cortical irregularity
    — More easily appreciated when compared with contralateral asymptomatic side
    — Valgus stress view may help

    — In 9-12 years old
    — Seen in baseball and throwing sports
