- Etiology: Blunt trauma with handlebar injury most common cause
- Imaging:
— Soft tissue swelling at site of injury
— Posterior abdominal wall hernia where there is protrusion of abdominal contents through the lumbar triangle - DDX:
- Complications: Look for other internal injuries
- Treatment: Surgical
- Clinical:
— Rare
— May not see herniation of abdominal contents until much later after injury
