Pediatric Mallet Finger Fracture
Etiology: — Injury of extensor mechanism of finger at distal interphalangeal joint — Distal interphalangeal joint undergoes sudden flexion or crush injury in the extensor direction
Imaging Radiograph: –Classically see triangular avulsion fragment at insertion of common extensor tendon on dorsal aspect of distal phalanx at distal interphalangeal joint — However high percentage of injuries due not have avulsion fragment

Clinical: Presents with inability to extend finger at distal interphalangeal joint
Radiology Cases of Mallet Finger Fracture
Lateral radiograph shows an intra-articular fracture involving the dorsal aspect of the base of the distal third phalanx.
