Etiology: Chronic diuretic usage in neonate with respiratory distress syndrome
Imaging: Medullary calcification occurs in collecting tubules near papillae

Complications: Calcification can be excreted into calyces and cause obstruction

Sagittal US of the left and right kidneys shows echogenic medullary pyramids bilaterally and mild right hydronephrosis.
