Pediatric Primary Hyperparathyroidism

  • Etiology: in adults due to parathyroid adenoma, parathyroid carcinoma, parathyroid hyperplasia
  • Imaging: resorption of periosteal new bone with decreased mineralization, coarse trabeculae, erosive changes at muscle insertions, brown tumors (osteoclasts, cell debris, hemorrhage)
