  • Etiology:
    — Birth trauma
    — Direct or indirect trauma
  • Imaging Radiograph:
    — If physis is involved is usually Salter-Harris Type I or Type II
    — If less than 5 years old is usually Salter-Harris Type I
    — If 5-12 years old is usually metaphyseal fracture
    — If greater than 12 years old is usually a Salter-Harris Type II
