— In infants – indwelling umbilical arterial catheter
— In older children – blunt abdominal trauma leading to renal artery dissection - Imaging: Infarcted kidney is edematous and enlarged
- Imaging CT: Cortical rim sign = enhancement of only renal cortex as renal cortex supplied by capsular artery
