  • Etiology: autoimmune reaction to Streptococcal pharyngitis
  • Imaging: most commonly causes mitral insufficiency + mitral stenosis -> left atrial enlargement, aortic insufficiency in 20% -> left ventricle enlargement + post stenotic dilation of ascending aorta
