  • Clinical: Can take days to 4-6 weeks for molding to go away

CT of skull molding
Axial (left) and coronal (right) CT without contrast of the brain show the occiptal bone of the skull to be pushed underneath the parietal bones of the scalp. No skull fractures are seen.
CT of pediatric skull molding
Axial CT without contrast of the brain in bone windows shows the metopic, posterior sagittal and bilateral coronal sutures to be patent. There is overlapping of the skull bones bilaterally near the coronal sutures.
