Radiology Cases of Splenic Cyst

Radiology Cases of Simple Splenic Cyst

CT of simple splenic cyst
Axial (above), coronal (below left) and sagittal (below right) CT with contrast of the abdomen shows a very large, thin walled, low density, non-septated lesion with undulating contours in the spleen.

Radiology Cases of Epidermoid Cyst of Spleen

MRI of pediatric epidermoid cyst of the spleen
Axial T2 MRI of the thoracic spine (above left) shows a round, homogenous, high signal intensity lesion in the anterior aspect of the spleen that is seen to be bright on DWI MRI (below left) and to be dark on ADC MRI (below right) and thus to have diffusion restriction. Subsequent sagittal US of the spleen (above right) shows a heterogeneously echogenic lesion anterior to the spleen.
