Swyer James Syndrome

  • Etiology: adenovirus pneumonia causes bronchi + bronchiole scarring
  • Imaging: lung is small + hyperlucent due to decreased pulmonary blood volume due to bronchiole damage, normal pulmonary venous drainage, pruned bronchial tree
  • V/Q scan: Decreased ventilation + perfusion
