- Patient preparation: place patient prone for at least 3 minutes before obtaining image, place a small radio-opaque marker held in place by tape over the anal dimple
- Contrast used: none
- Technique: obtain 24 hours after birth, patient should be in the genupectoral position
- Images to obtain: prone cross table lateral image of abdomen
- Looking for: measure distance between the distal most gas in the colon and the radio-opaque marker over the anal dimple
