- Technique: gently insert an 8 French feeding tube into the proximal esophagus, slowly inject air to define the contour of the proximal esophageal pouch
- Images to obtain: AP and lateral images of the esophagus
- Looking for: confirmation of esophageal atresia
- Post procedure tasks: aspirate air out of proximal esophageal pouch
