Toddler with right handed weakness since birth Axial T2 MRI without contrast of the brain (above) shows marked asymmetric enlargement of the left lateral ventricle along with a paucity of white matter in the left cerebral hemisphere which is further demonstrated on the coronal T1 MRI (below). The diagnosis was chronic sequelae of neonatal acute ischemic stroke.
