Infant with renal failure Sagittal US of the right kidney shows the kidney to be enlarged, diffusely echogenic, and to be composed almost entirely of microcysts. The left kidney (not provided) was identical in appearance. The liver is echogenic in appearance as well. The diagnosis was autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease.
